About Me

About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California (PSY32295), specializing in adult individual and couple therapy.    I am currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, where I work as a health psychologist in the Neuropsychiatry Clinic, seeing patients dealing with chronic and acute neurological conditions.  I also have extensive experience working with other medically ill populations as a psychologist embedded within oncology, cardiology, internal medicine, and GI departments.

My professional journey is dedicated to the exploration and clinical acknowledgement of the mind-body connection; aiming to harmonize peoples’ physical and mental well-being, subsequently optimizing both.  While I do not solely work with medically ill populations, I do bring this foundational perspective to all individuals that I work with.  The mind IS the body!

When I am not engaged in psychotherapy, I supervise doctoral students, residents, and fellows at Stanford University School of Medicine.  I also participate as a clinical trial therapist for psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD and participate in other scientific research and writing on topics such as Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and mindfulness.

Presentations that I see most often are problems related to: anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic or acute illness, life transitions/changes/disruptions, interpersonal and relational issues, existential challenges, stress, communication, cognitive challenges, FND, among others.
