Being aware of and in tune with your body is vital to healing, wellness, and prevention, both mentally and physically. After teaching mindfulness for years at Stanford, I have found it to be a transformative way to shift the ways in which my patients live their lives and learn to thrive in extremely challenging situations.
I have also personally spent years establishing my own mindfulness practice, which has furthered my resolve to share these concepts and practices with anyone who is interested.
For these reasons and to allow for more access, I have created a free online course to introduce mindfulness, related concepts, and instruction on how to establish your own mindfulness practice. Individuals that I work with tend to benefit from engaging with these lessons and practices alongside therapy with me.
Mindfulness involves cultivating a heightened state of awareness in the present moment, allowing you to perceive the reality of your immediate experience with clarity and insight. This conscious awareness, becoming more automatic with practice, empowers you to react in ways that are more adaptive and beneficial to your well-being.
